# A Child in Us

> A Child in Us is a book and creative-thinking framework by designer, author, researcher Gaurav Yadav, built around the CHILD model — Curiosity, Heuristics, Imagination, Laconic, Deductive. This site is the home for the book, the framework, and CHILDex, a free assessment that measures a person's Creative Thinking Quotient.

Gaurav Yadav is Chief Design Strategist at idaete.com and creator of the CHILD Creative Thinking Framework. The book, *A Child in Us: The Creative Thinking Handbook*, applies the framework to help readers reconnect with the creative instincts of childhood — curiosity, playful heuristics, imagination, laconic (simple, essential) expression, and deductive reasoning — and apply them to adult problem-solving, design, and leadership.

CHILDex is the site's flagship interactive tool: a free, no-login assessment that scores a person across the five CHILD traits and returns a personal Creative Thinking Index.
